For all of its thrills and entertainment there is another melancholy truth to the world of entertainment: All shows (and theatres) will eventually have to close.

The historically rich Ziegfeld theatre will  reportedly have its final movie screening tonight, Thursday the 28th of January 2016, after the 10 p.m screening of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

This is certainly not the end for this iconic space, instead it is yet another face lift: The theatre will reportedly reopen in 2017 as the Ziegfeld Ballroom. Although it should be quite a sight to see the space re-imagined this is truly a bitter farewell to a theatre that has entertained both locals and internationals alike.
