RUTHLESS! The Musical celebrated their long-awaited opening night this Monday, July 13, with an energetic performance and plenty of theater stars in attendance. Notable attendees included the beloved Bernadette Peters, Broadway choreographer Gillian Lynne, On the Town’s Jackie Hoffman, Regis Philbin and more.

But even if you were not one of the lucky ones to attend, you can still be with the cast and crew in spirit, thanks to Michael Stever and the team at BroadwayWorld.com’s “Stage Tube.” Their feature on RUTHLESS! The Musical includes numbers from the show, exclusive interviews with cast and crew and one very special moment between our writer and composer during the opening night party!

The video encapsulates the fun and frantic journey of this new production, which Entertainment Weekly has called, “Uproarious! A mash-up of The Bad Seed, Gypsy, All About Eve, plus the films of Douglas Sirk and John Waters!” So if you can’t get enough of RUTHLESS, check it out:

When THE BAD SEED meets GYPSY it’s fun for the whole dysfunctional family! Tina Denmark is a pretty, charming and diabolical eight-year-old who “was born to entertain.” With the encouragement of slick and overbearing potential agent Sylvia St. Croix, Tina will do anything to play the lead in her school play. The question is, where does such remarkable talent and unstoppable ambition come from? The answer is shocking in this award-winning Stage Mother of all musicals.

RUTHLESS! plays Off-Broadway Mondays at 8 PM, Thursdays at 7 PM, Fridays at 8 PM, and Saturdays at 2 PM at St. Luke’s Theatre, 308 West 46 Street (just west of Eighth Ave.) Tickets are available through www.RuthlessTheMusical.com or by calling 212-239-6200.
