Broadway audiences will once again be transported to the delicate world of the Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Tennessee Williams’ dramatic masterpiece

The “Glass Menagerie” has long been recognized for its literary brilliance and theatrical gravity.

According to ‘Broadway Buzz’ a Broadway revival is scheduled for later this year.

Reportedly the production is in talks with Oscar winning actress Sally Field for the role of Amanda Wingfield ; A somewhat negligent mother seemingly ensnared in the memories of her past . Fields involvement with the production has not been confirmed but she is definitely a top contender for the role.

 

With the large percentage of fantastic new productions opening on the Great White Way it may be surprising to find that true nostalgia for the somewhat older classics is still well and alive.
